合気練習 (AIKI TRAINING)



PAS Exercise 

(合気道 と 合気練習 / AIKIDO & AIKI RENSHŨ)

PAS (Prawira Aikido & Aiki-renshū Surabaya) Exercise is mind and body training, as well as intellectual development exercise, based on:

1.    The late GM Ueshiba Morihei’s teaching of AIKI / 合気 (“ki-shin-tai no toitsu / 気心体の統一” and “ki musubi / 気結び”)

2.    The research on Aiki-renshū (合気練習) / Aiki Training as mind and body training, as well as intellectual development exercise

3.    Rational Scientific Interaction of AIKIDO  (intellectual development to correct irrational / illogical “nage waza & katame waza” / 投げ技 & 固め技 / “throw and lock techniques”)
 
 
PAS (Prawira Aikido & Aiki-renshū Surabaya) Exercise emphasizes the training (練習) on the practical use of AIKI (“ki-shin-tai no toitsu” and “ki musubi”) in sport and daily life, as well as Realistic – Rational – Scientific AIKIDO (The Way of AIKI).
Therefore it is markedly different from most AIKIDO training which emphasizes the training only on old style “nage waza & katame waza”, “KYU–DAN rank program”, and “Japanese tradition”.


The characteristics of PAS (Prawira Aikido & Aiki-renshū Surabaya) Exercise are:
1.    As mind and body training, the whole PAS Exercise is done with the harmonious unity of mind and body.
2.    As a sport, PAS Exercise is done scientifically and rationally.
3.    As intellectual development, PAS Exercise is done realistically and rationally. for examples:
a.    PAS Exercise can be done by a fat person or after having a meal (especially a light meal).
b.    PAS Exercise can be done at any place, situation, and condition. Without mats or certain suits.
c.    PAS Exercise is done without any arrangements (such as the ones for a show performance or making a movie).
d.    PAS Exercise must be done with rational - as well as effective and efficient - movements, in order not to have any silly risks.
4.    To be a part of daily life, PAS Exercise teach nothing special for every single case. But, PAS mind and body training will help every one to do / work / study better in their daily life.


PAS Exercise consists of:

1.    Rational Scientific Interaction of AIKIDO  (intellectual development to correct irrational / illogical “nage waza & katame waza”)
2.    Aiki-renshū / Aiki Training
a)    The training of mind and body unity in harmony (ki-shin-tai no toitsu)
b)    The training of rational harmonious interaction (ki musubi)
3.    Intellectual development in law-abiding self-defense
